I've used BitDefender which seemed great...I just figured I would keep it simple and clean and stick with Defender.

I'm using Defender too. It's to be better than what MSE was, and I've used MSE as my main protection since Windows 7 came out, and not once had an issue. The only missing feature with Defender is a GUI of a right click to scan a file. I've gotten around it by using the custom scan, and scan a folder I set up to hold all downloads to scan before opening/installing any, and it's working out well. Hope they add a right click/scan in the near future.

I'm currently using Kaspersky which is very good, I've tried many AV suites as well before but my favourites have to be Kaspersky, Bitdefender, ESET.

BitDefender Total Security 2015 and MalwareBytes Pro. What else do you need?!

Qihoo 360 is not bad. There have been some unconfirmed allegations about user data collection. Privacy Issues With China But Qihoo Strongly Rebuts Accusations I would recommend either Bitdefender or Kaspersky. I have no idea why anyone would want Norton or McAfee (although they aren't as bad as they used to be).

I use BitDefender Free and MalwareBytes Premium, that way I have dual real-time protection. And if you're interested in MalwareBytes Premium you don't have to use their subscription service, instead buy a lifetime license off of Amazon. Best $40 I ever spent.

If there is one common thing it looks like most people recommend Malwarebytes Pro (the paid version).

Never used Avira but interested after what AyeYo said...

I run Webroot PCSecureAnywhere for Gamers on Windows 10 perfectly. If you buy on Amazon, use the key not their installer and use the trial from webroots site to activate. Its for a year but eh it works for basic antivirus/malware protection.
